This documentation is written assuming you have enabled the CookBook.ExtendedStylesCSS1 recipe. For the time being, the best way to see how these examples work is to view the Wiki source.

This example is broken. It may be the brackets in the url(marble.gif) that is breaking it, I'm not sure. The $StylePattern variable may have to be modified and added to the
extended_styles_css1.php file to make it work. Will do more testing later.

- The
backgroundproperty is a shorthand property for setting the individual background properties (i.e.,background-color,background-image,background-repeat,background-attachmentandbackground-position) at the time.
