According to Petko, this recipe will link/show an attachment "if a file does not exist in a page subdirectory, but exists in the group directory[.]"

The code seems to bear this out. Can anybody verify this behavior?

I'd like to add it to the documentation (if it is documented, the fall-back hebavior is not obvious to me). It's great for refactoring.
