This is a great innovation, thank you.
A small suggestion, could the trail please be at the top right of the page.

I do like the new News group, thank you!
Trail at the top would be great, I agree.
What niggled me was the greyish page display in ''Draft'', as I could not tell from the AllRecentChanges list that the page is in draft and displays as being hard to read. Perhaps it is better hidden till it is made public? Or avoid ''Draft'', this is the PmWiki mother site, after all.

A post is "hidden" in 2 cases: the "Status" variable is "Draft", or the "Date" variable is in the future. In these cases, the post page will appear grey/faded, and the listings will not list it to non-editors. The latest post in the News section was written over a number of days, with the "Date" variable to Monday 14:00 server time. When that time came, the post automatically became public/visible/unfaded, and visible both in listings and in the RSS feed.

I'll think about making the trail configurable, but in other blog software I've mostly seen a trail between the post and the comments, or at the bottom of the page, after the comments.

Yes, the "hidden" new post is not seen on the News page, but the entry appears under All Recent Changes Short. That is what did draw me to look. I am usually not logged in.
