BenBen Woodruff I am a facutly member at Brigham Young University - Idaho in the Mathematics Department. I am exploring the use of wiki's in university classrooms. I am having students create and share examples of statistics using this software. I am a LaTeX user, and would like a script that converts wiki code to LaTeX code, and vice versa. Does anyone know of one? If you use MimeTeX to display mathematics content, you may want to adjust the mimetex.php file that you use so that the images are aligned with the middle of the text, instead of with the bottom. In Dec 2006 I created the jsMath recipe to enable jsMath with PMWiki. I have switched t o using jsMath as compared to MimeTeX because jsMath permits scalable mathematics, and it prints in much higher quality. Hello Ben,I wanted to leave a note but could not find an email address, so I temporarily pop up here. I have seen your jsMath and am quite excited. We seem to have had similar desires about Latex since I was developing new features around Cookbook.LinuxTex at the same time (see LinuxTex.PureLatex). I expect I will switch to jsMath in future for its speed, but would take some of my planned features with me. My plans are/were
At the moment, the LinuxTex version I use personally has also some support for changing the latex preamble, which seemed necessary to me. What do you think about this? ThomasP March 26, 2007, at 09:40 PM (email at my profile page) |
