I'm the guy that wanted to install a wiki at work so he could use it as a documentation system for all of the perl modules and software we'd developed. Pm, my boss at the time, didn't quite get this whole wiki concept (I admit, I probably explained it poorly) but then he purchased a copy of _The Wiki Way_ and over a weekend pmwiki was born.
