[pmwiki-users] Editing page text from a script

Is there an easy way to get a form to add a category to one
or more pages?  

Imagine a pagelist with radio buttons next to each page
allowing a user to select any number of pages.  At the
bottom would be a a text box where a category (or any wiki
text) could be typed, which, on submit, would then get
appended to the end of all the selected pages.

I am willing to code up a script to do this, but I was
looking for advice to see if there is a better way to do
it, FGS?

If I do code up a script, is there an easy way to edit  and
update page text from within a script as if a user  had
edited it (keeping history etc.)?
