I've been actively considering writing a recipe.

Now where's that script that you posted recently... I *should* have 
saved it... found it, was in "Global expirediff".

Please find Cookbook/GlobalOperations with a description of the general 
technique. That page is very, very incomplete; in particular, it's 
missing a description what one can do with the $page reference.
