IMHO, it seems you don't have much of a "team" environment going on in
that workplace.
Sure, in basketball it's nice to know who scored how many points, who
made assists and what not. However, it's who wins the game (has the best
product) that really counts.
I'm it matters all that much (nor is it healthy) in most successful
business environments where team success and overall product quality is
what counts. Who is running point (or author) counts, how well they are
at getting help counts, how well the help does their job counts, etc,
etc. But not as much as the quality of the final product. A good team
doesn't spend all that much time with the details of who did what along
the way, so long as the final product meets or exceeds expected
standards. IMHO....
