I did not read to the newest article if you figured a solution, but is
that server based on Debian Woody? I am experiencing SIG11-crashes for
some months that I did not have before. 

Hardware is ok, all other processes work as expected. Apache worked too,
I am not sure if a bugfixed package incorporated that problems.
