that would solve the problem and is quite easy to use, i think.
just like the quoting in emails.

yes, those are not to be forgotten.
personally i prefer using >>style<< because i can pre-define
them so to be consistent in the whole site, i think is not possible
to do the same with (:div:) isn't it?
