On using PmCalendar for blogging. What I have found that works well is the idea of having a secured Calendar and then a blogging view. If you use the "Continued..." style, I'd have that link to the full content. IMHO, the heading is probably enough inside of the Calendar (which in my case isn't viewable anyhow). To see a reasonable working example: http://theendlessnow.com/ten/Blog/Blog
The calendar behind that blog is at http://theendlessnow.com/ten/BlogCalendar but you won't see it unless you can log in.
Also, you'll notice that the PmCalendar the theendlessnow.com is a newer version (which I will push out today). It has the idea of reversing the view of the calendars (newest to oldest, rather than the default which is oldest to newest). Version 0.14 will also have the ability to lock out the URL mods in case you don't want folks to play with those.
See the source for theendlessnow blog markup: http://theendlessnow.com/ten/Blog/Blog?action=source
The private calendar is just a lock on the page holding the calendar. You can still get to the entry pages by url. For example, you can't read BlogCalendar/BlogCalendar, but you can read BlogCalendar/20050703. That's necessary so that the Blog/Blog page can include the pages.
