Note: The recipes here are for PmWiki versions 0.6 and 1.0 only. For PmWiki 2.0 recipes, see Cookbook.
Beginning with version 0.6, PmWiki makes it easier to develop and change "skins" for the look and feel of the pages. This portion of the Cookbook is a repository to demonstrate and describe some of the skins that have been developed for PmWiki. If you've developed a skin for PmWiki that you'd like to share, feel free to add it to the Cookbook here!
To install one of these skins, see PmWiki:LayoutBasics.
Available skins:
- Standard Skin - the layout distributed with PmWiki/PmWiki 0.6
- Classic Skin - modeled after PmWiki/PmWiki versions prior to 0.6
- Balus WebSiteSkin (external link)
- JH Skin - skin idea contributed by James Home
- Arndis Skin - wholly CSS-based skin developed for my portfolio/personal website at http://arndis.godsong.org.
- Right Brain - a left-column oriented layout
- CCLUG Skin - skin used by the Corpus Christi Linux Users Group
- BeeblebroxNetGila - XHTML and CSS based skin.
- Boring Skin - table-based skin with websafe colours for use with older browsers/computers/people. Looks better than I expected it to.
- Top Bar Skin
- Lean Skin - a minimalist skin designed with usability in mind
- Bare Skin - an extremely minimalist, text-only (logo-optional) skin.
- Two Column - with header and footer
- Gaffs Skin - Left column layout with boxes. Inspired by Arndis Skin.
- Or Gr Skin - Skin in Orange and Grey, Menu on Right Side
- All Green - Just What it says
- Blue N Red - Simple Blue an Red Skin
- Lines Skin - Yellowish skin with some nice lines and a rounded corner
- Wiki Presentations - use PmWiki to prepare and project presentation slides
- Wikipedia Tabs - Barebones skin that looks exactly like the tabs in Wikipedia. Probably only works in gecko browsers right now.
Maybe some instructions here about how to configure skins would be good.
PmWiki.LayoutBasics is a start, although I'd like to see some better instructions included in the individual skins pages. --Pm
