00123: Choose default skin layout for PmWiki 2.0 distribution
Description: There's been some minor discussion about changing the default skin that is distributed with PmWiki. If we're going to adopt a new skin, now would be the time to make the change, otherwise we'll continue distributing with the PmWiki 1.0 skin.
Please change the default! I find Cookbook/BeeblebroxNetGila gets the best reaction. Add wikipedia style tabs (maybe from BronwynSkin), and you get perfection!
Be patient; there's even better tabs and feature options to steal/modify from the skin I'm working on currently.
Hi Patrick, is this still being worked on? If not, I would be happy to help collaborate and come up with a few suggestions and an implementation. -- Julian I. Kamil
Yes, it's still being worked on, however I have some very specific ideas about what needs to be provided in a skin (and how it's implemented). But suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi Patrick, it could be convinient to have a $BODYonLoad variable to allow the syntax

in the template, when defined as we have $HTMLStylesFmt
or $HTMLHeaderFmt
Isidor
Also it would be nice to have a process when User Authentification is used to display or not things like edit or history for logged users only Isidor
This already exists via the (:if auth edit:)
markup. --Pm
True that's solving this issue Isidor
I think most people expect a Recent Changes link to refer to changes on the whole site, not just the current group. To that end, something like Recent Changes (All) would be an improvement over the current Recent Changes only. --Hagan
With the new Site group, il think it could be a good idea to have a link for Site Administration like this: $[Site Administration] because this brings a Xlat Site Administration and an new Acces Key ak_siteadmin Pm, could you validate the names ?
