Description: Request for support for "redirect" to group/pages from farm or fields based on farmmap.txt defined in farm or fields(not yet implemented).

example:
(:redirect field=diary page=Jan.04:)

This would redirect to page Jan.04 located in Field diary. Provided field->diary is defined in Farm's farmmap.txt or Fields farmmap.txt (which also needs to be supported in which case). Fields map for diary would override farm's map in farmmap.txt respectively.

Comments

Is it possible to see this feature sooner?
I have some pages like a wiki(diary) and a blog(pmwiki based) on same domain, but would like to have a redirect feature as I have moved some content from diary to blog.
Just a suggestion: For security such redirects could be on a separate page like Site.FieldMap. All entries in FieldMap would be tied to same domain. (Note sure if the present redirect directive can handle the same)

Take a look at Cookbook.RedirectIntermap, it lets you redirect to intermap locations. Hence if you've got your diary declared as an InterMap location, you can redirect to it. For example: (:redirect 'Cookbook:RedirectIntermap' status=301:)EemeliAro 2008-09-03
