Description: The ability to view source code of write-protected pages would be useful for authors who want to create pages similar to existing ones.
Learning by copy/paste is actually a strategy I actively encourage for "naive" authors :-)
(Mediawiki has this feature, too, and to me it feels like an integral aspect of the Wiki - not like "feature creep".)

This already exists -- simply add ?action=source to the end of any page url to see the page's source.
