Description: PmWiki history pages sometimes contain a restore point that an administrator would like to remove, so two changes will be merged into one in the page's history file.

Example application of the feature

An important example where this would be useful is when a spammer's content is displayed in the history page. For example,

  • Start with the page.
  • A spammer comes along and replaces the page's content with a few spam links.
  • Someone later restores the original page content.

Now the page's history contains two copies of the content plus the spammers (visible!) links in history portion of the page's file. Removing one restore point means all of that comes out and the second save (that restored the content) appears as a restore point where no changes were made.
