Why is this page not included in the end-user installations? --Calion? February 16, 2018, at 11:31 AM

I suppose the core documentation was selected before this page was added and nobody requested it to be included. There is an automatic list at Site.Site or SiteAdmin.SiteAdmin which lists these and many other special pages automatically, with their name and summary (including pages added by recipes or skins). On the installed special page, there is usually a short documentation or a link to the documentation about the page. This page here could have been considered superfluous or duplicating the existing SiteAdmin listing feature. There are a number of such pages: to spot them the "View" link above the title isn't followed by a small gray star. To link to them from starred pages we use the InterMap PmWiki:PagName instead of PmWiki/PageName. When needed, we can manually add a new page to the core distribution. --Petko February 16, 2018, at 01:30 PM

Recent Changes idea

What if on page AllRecentChangesShort add some JS, which will ajax the site in the background, and if some new changes occure, change the favicon of the page making it blink or something? The goal is: if I post something and wait for response, I just open AllRecentChangesShort in browser tab and when new answer will be posted, my tab starts blinking.

I have added this as an experimental feature -- it doesn't change the favicon but changes the document title to add "(3)" if 3 changes have been made since you opened the page. If in Firefox you have the tab "pinned", it will add a small blue ball to the tab -- like this works in web-mails, Twitter, FB and other places. On the page itself it will insert "(3) pending changes, click to reload" like on Twitter. Chrome/Chromium doesn't seem to change the tab. --Petko November 15, 2019, at 01:41 PM
