PlainBlog Skin

This skin is no longer under development... sort of.
See the very similar Blog Skin, which is evolved from this one and likely to be supported and developed for the forseeable future.

Overview

This skin is similar to Plain Skin, but with a layout that is better suited for a blog. The skin emphasizes your site's content with a big easy-to-read default font size, no graphical frills, and other similar features.

The default layout width is optimized for 1024x768 or greater resolution, however the content is perfectly readable at 800x600 because the sidebar is on the right. Your 800x600 visitors will need to scroll to see the sidebar menu, but they're probably accustomed to scrolling. The width is controllable with CSS so you can change it to suit your taste.

PlainBlog Skin

This skin works well with an as-yet-unreleased version of the CMS Mode recipe. Visitors without edit authorization see a layout that has the look of a normal website. Authors see a "wiki view" that includes the GroupName and wiki-related action links.

The version installed on this page is PlainBlogSkin 0.04.0.

Notes

The skin is designed for PmWiki v2.1.27 or newer.

This skin uses tables for layout because doing so causes the pages render as consistently as possible in a wide variety of browsers. No transition to a CSS-only layout is planned.

Comments / Feedback

This is a very nice skin, clean and easy to navigate. I like the "site view". Good job on this skin. Ian MacGregor
