[pmwiki-users] Is a space needed in between asterisk and text (for list)

I have been struggling with some formatting issue and finally found
the culprit : me, lazy writing single list item without space, then
having blank line followed by a preformatted list of items (starting
with one space). Took me quite long to find out the trick ;)
Thus my question. And your answers. So smart.
